Simplicity is the final achievement.
— Frédéric Chopin

Born and raised in Queens, NYC.

Fading into deep thought was his escape from reality. Many love the thump of the drums. He loves the arrangement as a collective entity.

He began experimenting with different types of music. Recognizing his true passion was hip-hop. It then became an obsession.

He didn't realize how deep his fascination went until he wrote his first song.
While his peers dabbled in the streets, the focus was keep writing.

His primary influences include emcee's like Mos Def, Nas, Jay-Z, Royce da 5'9 & Wu-Tang Clan. His musical training has its roots in Hip-Hop, however, he is well-versed in most of the other main genres as far as writing and creating grooves!

One verse in particular always stuck with him during his journey from a member of Wu-Tang, "..explosion when my pen hits tremendous.." -Inspectah Deck, Triumph.
Subsequently, he dons the name. DREWKABOOM.

So many styles, so many avenues of attack (rhythmic, punchline, storytellin, etc..)
His aim was to stick one style, transcend the "norm" and design a sound that he and many others will fall in love with.
His transition into his particular adapted style is a sight to behold, very abstract and reminiscent of his predecessors, no question.

And the beat goes on...
